About Us

Paul Magee, principal and chief instructor of PGM Training with 35+ years experience in the maritime and water safety background and 30+ years experience in search and rescue in Northern Ireland.

Paul has over 30 years experience in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon council working as an assistant harbour master and head trainer in Kinnego Marina, with a long term plan of pursuing his own company, hence setting up PGM Training.

PGM Training, formed in 2020, offers water safety consultancy and training courses within the RYA and RLSS suite of courses.

PGM Training's primary trainer is Paul Magee, supported by a trusted network of experienced instructors.

Consultancy


With over 35 years in the industry, PGM training can bring extensive experience to supporting your business with consultancy services to help you plan your water safety risk.

Areas that the consultancy may cover include:

  • Water safety risk assessment reviews
  • Audits of public spaces, parks and open water spaces (For many of the public bodies, councils, environment agencies).
           This includes auditing public rescue equipment and public water safety signage.
  • Identifying risks in these public spaces, preparing safety signage and water rescue equipment - with follow up training
  • Staff water safety training to provide protection on the water
  • Instructor training in training centres
  • Training centre inspection preparation
